On January 13rd 2020, we had 3 of the projects in the LBank Listing Voting Competition who took part in a special AMA on the LBank Exchange Telegram Channel. And we have compiled a summary of all questions answered during the AMA in this article. Enjoy!

Part 1 — — ARN

Q: Can you please briefly introduce yourself and your project Aeron？

Artem Orange: Aeron project is dedicated to aviation safety. Aeron is constructing a database and an online system that is decentralized, hosting global data on aircraft, flight schools and pilots. This electronic logging system would enable pilots to have logs that can be verified online, making aviation safer for everyone involved.

I lead the Aeron project since inception and would be happy to support international Aeron community, pilots and general aviation enthusiasts

Legacy method of pilot flight logging is still performed on paper and till date this is the only method being practiced in many flight schools. Desktop or mobile based flight logging applications do exist, however all rely either on local or cloud database storage in a proprietary format. There are no known application providers with public blockchain recording of vital data logs. That’s for Aeron. Regarding CryptoBonusMiles, that’s the extension of Aeron ecosystem to everyone who flies, any passenger of commercial airline can benefit from CryptoBonusMiles rewards.

Q: How will blockchain helps the aviation industry?

Artem Orange: Blockchain based recording of pilot’s flight records is the key technological innovation introduced by Aeron into record keeping in general aviation industry. It enables the immutable and permanent record of the pilot’s progressive experience.

Many other aspects of airline operations can benefit from blockchain applications — starting from ticketing, to aircraft maintenance to other aspects requiring record keeping.

Q: What are the incentives for CBM token holders？

Artem Orange: CryptoBonusMiles users are rewarded with native reward points (CBM tokens). A user gets CBM tokens for all activities on the platform, which accrue together with airline bonus miles. These tokens serve as extra rewards that flyers will be able to use on discounts for flight tickets or products at partner shops. It is tightly integrated with Aeron, offering extra benefits for Aeron (ARN) token holders. A platform user can earn even more CBM tokens through the referral program.

Other incentives will be added in the future, like staking.

Q: What kind of technical advantages do you have compared to the other competitors?

Artem Orange: Aeron serves as a blockchain-based flight log and aircraft maintenance data platform. With its further deployment, private pilots, aircraft owners/operators and flight schools can get access to up-to-date and reliable information, including pilot’s experience record. Aviation authorities can detect pilots operating with an expired license. Aviation enthusiasts and general public can search for curated flight and training offers and peruse Aeron database to find reliable service providers. This wide ecosystem is an advantage!

For CryptoBonusMiles (CBM), advantage is that we will offer an API solution to make the airline loyalty programs and bonus miles of different airlines convertible to crypto and other bonus miles or extra benefits, thus enabling to unlock miles from within proprietary loyalty programs.

Q: What are the plans for the project Aeron in the next few months？

Artem Orange: Further implementation of Aeron and CryptoBonusMiles roadmap milestones! The project will develop as planned to bring even more utility to the tokens, especially with introduction of CBM shop and other CBM and ARN token applications as intended in the original roadmap.
